A beachfront film festival lying between World Heritage Rainforest, The Great Barrier Reef and island studded Coral Sea is about to begin. A program of films, discussions, workshops and events will entertain and inspire us to protect the natural world we live in. Quirky stories, incredible individuals and inspired communities are celebrated at Australia’s Number 1 Sustainability Film Festival – September 17-19. The Mission Beach Film Festival presents a diverse program of films and sidebar programs that places a focus on what our world could be if we change our expectations and what the world could be if we don’t.
Also featured at the festival is the Cassowary Coast Short Film competition and stills photography exhibition. www.missionbeachfilmfestival.com.au
The who, what, when and where of Mission Beach.
Spring is the perfect time to visit Mission Beach – a natural mid way point between Townsville and Cairns. Mission Beach is made up of four beach villages linked by 14 kilometres of wide golden beach set in an unspoilt natural environment. A blend of sophisticated eateries, boutiques and art galleries nestle against lush tropical rainforest.
